Design
I decided to take a look at my page today, I resist using the "b" word, and the title elicited a bit of inner response. I thought about, well who would look at a site called ThreeMedia_Design. I would venture that someone interested in design may visit. Or threes, or media, of which we can talk about all of the above. It's difficult to talk about something that hasn't already been done. Most of what we are doing these days is improving on existing designs. Reinventing circular objects is okay, however it seems that you'll find 300 more in assorted colors.
So let's take a current problem. Heating. Wood stoves. This is actually a fireplace insert, which is basically a type of enclosed wood stove. A few weeks ago, Dana and I didn't need a wood stove. We were here:
Yet now winter temps area concern. This wood stove is decades old, and has no flue or method of controlling the intake air. It burns wood fairly fast, and inefficiently.
So my first goal is to make the unit more air-tight, then control the combustion air. The client wants to spend as little of her budget as possible, so I have been scratching my head for 12 hours now attempting to come up with a low cost solution.
